Celebrations across the year in 2023

Diamond Wedding Anniversary December.  Our year ended with a most magnificent celebrations, 'Ma n Pa' (aka Kevin & Sandra) achieved their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

A wider family party came together of very many of us, great grandchildren, grandchildren, children to my parents siblings  & bridesmaid, in their little cottage. A lot of love and sharing of an extraordinary lifetime together from 1963 of 60 years, with a much cherished card from Buckingham Palace.

40th anniversary of nursing. On 05th October 1983 I was dropped off at Severalls Hospital in Colchester to start my nurse training. In the same moment struck up a friendship with a fellow student nurse and we have been the dearest of friends ever since, sharing the absolute best of our lives and a true sisterly support through the tougher times too. We mused over our celebrations for a good few months before we settled on the perfect long weekend for us. A seaside weekend with lots of walking in Sheringham Park, the beach and one of the best Afternoon Teas we have had, at The Corner House in West Runton. All agreed to be repeated!

Celebrating Momentous Birthdays.

In October my dear dad, Kevin, became an Octavian! Such an epoch-making age  in a family. We gathered in a delightful vegetarian restaurant for Sunday Lunch, later in the week followed with the whole family for cake and singing our celebrations with the youngest of the wider family too. 

In August, as Stone siblings with a 9year difference between me and my youngest sister, we are all in the same age span for just 14months. Katherine turned 50yrs old quite a thing when I remember her coming home as a new born baby sister in 1973. It was lovely for Katherine to celebrate with her siblings and families in her garden.

Finley is sweet 16yrs in September. A delightful uncle sharing his celebrations with his young nieces & nephew, Llwella, Ada & Arlen, Sara's youngest with her grandchildren.

With Enormous Pride, Dylan is awarded Volunteer of the Year 2023 from Norfolk Fire & Rescue, another post for another rainy day to share.
